"Cyber risks from a hacker's perspective"

The presentation will describe in detail the security vulnerability in the IT systems
of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees
in Nuremberg that became known in March 2025
and other cases from the work at
Mint Secure.


"Attack on the CEO"
A personally experienced cyber attack in
connection with the incident at
Südwestfalen-IT

For over 20 years, Michael Neubauer was CEO and
known for his personal commitment to
security. Then he was dismissed as CEO.
A year and a half later, a cyber attack
hit his employer. Another year later
he was dismissed without notice - **without success**!
The presentation traces the history and the
course of the incident and shows what senior
employees and managing directors need to know
to avoid becoming a "victim" in such cases.

"Who is attacking us?" -- Methods from
research for tracing and defending
against cyberattacks"

Our society is exposed to an immense
flood of cyberattacks. But where
do these attacks come from? We examine the latest
research approaches to tracing
the attacks using two specific examples;
an actually anonymous botnet and denial
of service attacks against critical infrastructures.


"The cyber and
information space branch of the Bundeswehr
and its cooperation with civilian
institutions"

The aim is to present the Bundeswehr's newest branch
and its tasks and mission as well as
how it fits into the Bundeswehr structure.
Cyber and information space as a military
operational space or dimension differs
significantly from the other classic dimensions
land air sea and space. In order to be able to act successfully in
this dimension
, cooperation with partners from industry,
science and government
is necessary. This interdepartmental cooperation
will be addressed in particular in the presentation.
