Change in the "Cost Accounting and Controlling" module for WI students
- Studium

We would like to inform you about the handling of the module "Cost Accounting and Controlling" for WI students in the summer semester 2025. The course currently comprises 2 SWS and will only be increased to 4 SWS with the reaccreditation of the Bachelor's degree program in Economics in the summer semester 2026. We would therefore like to offer the following one-off solution for the WI course in summer semester 2025:
- In the summer semester 2025, WI students will attend the combined courses "Accounting" and "Cost Accounting and Controlling" once, each comprising 2 SWS and concluding with a 90-minute module examination.
- From summer semester 2026, students in the 2025/26 cohort will regularly attend the 4-hour course "Cost Accounting and Controlling" and take the 90-minute written exam. "Accounting" will then also be offered as a 4-hour course and will remain in the elective area.
- Students repeating the examination from summer semester 2025 can decide in summer semester 2026 whether they would like to repeat the combined examination or instead apply for a module change (deleting the failed attempts) to the regular module.
- From summer semester 2027, only the 90-minute written exam on "Cost Accounting and Controlling" will be offered in the compulsory section.
