Study credits no longer expire and old credits are recognized again - an important decision for more flexibility in your studies!

Good news for all computer science students! On November 13, 2024, the Academic Advisory Board, Examination Board and Faculty Council decided on a change that affects academic achievements. From now on, coursework will no longer expire - regardless of when it was completed.

Specifically, this means that

  • Academic achievements no longer have to have been completed within the current semester or one of the two previous semesters in order to remain valid.
  • Older coursework that was previously considered forfeited will be recognized again as a result of this decision.

The Examination Board has suspended the corresponding regulations in the BPO Computer Science (§10 para. 7) and MPO Computer Science (§10 para. 8) with immediate effect and indefinitely. The examination regulations will be amended accordingly when they are next updated.

This regulation applies with immediate effect and offers students more flexibility in their studies.
