SAP Vibe Coding Challenge: Develop Innovative Product Ideas with adesso
The department of Computer Science at TU Dortmund University is hosting the SAP Vibe Coding Challenge in collaboration with adesso. The challenge gives students the opportunity to work in interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative product concepts and prototypes for IT processes in the energy sector.
The focus is on topics such as energy sharing, tenant-generated electricity, direct marketing, and smart battery systems. During the two-day challenge, participants will work closely with SAP experts from adesso and researchers from TU Dortmund University. In addition to gaining practical experience, the event offers the opportunity to network for internships, thesis projects, and career entry.
Prior knowledge of SAP is welcome but not required. To help participants prepare, a seminar will be held on October 7, 2026, introducing technologies such as SAP BTP, ABAP, SAP UI5, and Joule.
The challenge will take place on October 15 and 16, 2026, at Signal Iduna Park and at Borussia Dortmund’s facilities. The results will be presented to a jury at the conclusion of the event. The top teams can look forward to attractive prizes.
Participation
Enrolled students in (Applied) Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable degree programs are eligible to participate.
