Introductory Computer Science Workshop for High School Girls on October 15 and 16, 2026
On October 15 and 16, 2026, the Department of Computer Science will once again host a university open house for high school girls.
Over the course of two days, female and diverse students in grades 9 through 13 can look forward to workshops, lectures, and informational sessions focused on the field of computer science.
The results speak for themselves: A large proportion of the participants go on to pursue a degree in computer science here, and some are even working as research assistants at the department today. The “Taster University” thus makes a tangible contribution to inspiring more women to pursue computer science—and it is extremely important that even more women study this vital and promising field.
